Damn You, Scuba Steve

Well I'm excited, after Cabrera failing to produce we put Parrino in the starting lineup and now I have Alexi and Andy up the middle. I have been wanting this since I fell in love with Alexi's speed and overall adorably tininess.

For once the Padres scored first in the second inning on a sac fly. Unfortunately Parrino committed an error in the bottom of the second but luckily, it didn't cost us anything. I would love for him to stop channeling Bartlett and start playing like he did during spring training and earlier this season. It will happen, eventually. Something amazing happened during the game today, there were technical difficulties and we didn't have commercials!! This is something that needs to happen more often. It makes you feel like you are actually at the game minus the whole making me listen to Mark Grant and Dick Enberg the ENTIRE time thing. The Padres left the bases loaded in the top of the seventh which usually isn't a good sign but we do have the only run scored so maybe there is a chance we can still pull out the W... then again we are playing the Cards. Furcal tied the game in the bottom of the seventh and like I just said, it's the Cards. Yep, we are losing this one. The Cards took the lead in this same inning and now we have 2 innings left to regain the lead. The one good thing about this game/series, we don't and won't have to face Berkman thanks to him tearing his meniscus. Obviously he wanted to be different than every other baseball player suffering a knee injury this season. Guzman gave the Padres the lead back with a two run double in the top of the eighth but that lead didn't stay long as Cashner gave up a two run HR to Greene and that would be the end of the game. Padres lose 4-3 and still can't collect that mythical third win in a row.

Record: 16-27
