Blue Moon and Bobbles Makes For a Padres W

Well it looks like Quentin started off the scoring in the second inning with a solo home run. I missed it and how Grandal got on as well. Sorry, I had to inform people about the cuts the Chargers made. Alonso makes the first out of the inning moving Grandal to third and hopefully we can bring him around with these two outs we still have. HA HA HA HA HA the Rockies bobble and Grandal comes around to score making it a 2-0 lead. Not only did we score but Logan ends up being safe at first. Thank you bad Rockies fielding. During Cam's at bat, the Rockies third baseman made up for their SS's bobble, stealing Cam of a possible double. Fortunately we managed to keep out of the double play there. Thanks Cam's speed.

Will triples with one out in the third to hopefully kick off the scoring this inning. Chase drives in Will on a sacrifice and now we are winning 3-0 with Quentin up. They walk Quentin and now it's on Yasmani to continue this inning. Sadly, the inning ended and what's even more sad, the first runner in the third for the Rockies got on, on yet another bad hop. What's going on in Colorado right now?? So many bad hops and it's only the third. The ball gets away from Yasmani and the Rockies sole base runner is now on third with one out. Dear Clayton, this would be the perfect time to strike someone out. Clayton didn't listen to me, he got an out but the run also scored and now it's a 3-1 game. I don't trust any lead in Colorado so I don't appreciate this whole letting the Rockies score thing.

With two outs and two on in the fourth the Rockies call for a pitching change. Do they really think we are that dangerous or that their pitcher sucks so much that he can't even get through the fourth inning?? Apparently so. We did a bunch of nothing with that two on two outs thing. Clayton takes a ball off his knee in the fourth and Enberg questions whether or not he's okay. Did he forget that Clayton used to play football?? Pretty sure a ball bouncing off his leg hurts a lot less than being sacked. Yasmani had one of the most perfect throws to second I think I have ever seen in my life. I honestly don't think that could have been any better.

Quentin with a ground rule double to make it 4-1 Padres in the fifth. Pretty sure this was one of those moments when I like the ground rule double. I have my moments with them and I feel bipolar when it comes to that. One pitch into the bottom of the sixth, the Rockies jack a home run to cut our lead in half, 4-2. Aaaaand another Rockies home run makes it 4-3 Padres. Okay, I'm really getting worried now. After the scary inning Clayton had in the sixth, scary to me, why on Gods green earth would we send him out again for the seventh?! You let him pitch to two batters and then pull him. Seriously?! I would have been more content starting the inning with a new pitcher.

In the top of the eighth, Cam shows off his baseball intelligence and takes second on a bobble that should have had him at first. After the bobbled play, the Rockies promptly walked Guzman then struck out Everth for the second out of the inning. With runners on first and second the Padres pinch hit Deno and the only thing he needs to do is make sure the ball drops in between fielders so that Cam can utilize his speed and give us back some of those runs. Cam trying to steal third turns into a hit and run and the Rockies SS had no play once the ball got to him, allowing Cam to score to make it 5-3 Padres in eight.

Ugh, as I start to think that this game will be over with only three batters, Luke gives up the Rockies third solo shot of the game and they pull within one. Please don't let the Rockies score anymore. PLEASE. Awww BULLSHIT!! Alonso tagged the runner before he touched first!! Cabrera's throw was high and did pull Alonso off the bag BUT he did in fact tag the runner before the runners foot hit the bag. What a fucking rip off!! Lets get a double play and end this inning, boys!! Alexi covered a shit ton of ground to get the second out of the inning which should have been the final out but the ump is an ignoramus. Please, please, please strike this batter out, Luke, please!! The Padres win this one 5-4 and have won 10 of their last 11 games. If only we played like this all season.

Better Late Than Never

So I'm more than a day late on this game but better late than never right?? As long as the Padres continue to play day games during this semester, like they will, my posts will either be late or nonexistent. Oh hey, Kyle Blanks, totally forgot we still had him. Actually no, I knew we still had him because I had to correct my friend a few weeks ago when he tried to tell his friends that we let Blanks go. He needs to leave the baseball facts to me, thanks. Dude, sorry for how completely random my posts are. I noticed this earlier today and once again just now. I'm clearly writing this how I am and say what pops into my head when it does and without any proper transitioning.

While discussing the changes that are going to be made, such as a new scoreboard (Thank God), Enberg interrupts with so much excitement at a Logan RBI double to give the Padres the 1-0 lead with runners on second and third and one out. Cam drives in Kotsay on a sacrifice to put us up by two now in the fourth. I was beginning to wonder when the scoring was going to start. Ugh, the Braves score in the top half of the fifth to cut our lead in half. I didn't approve of this!!

What turns out to be a massive brain fart for the Braves, puts Cabrera on second instead of being out to start the bottom of the fifth. I will take these Braves fuck ups all day. I'm going to go ahead and say that shitty bunt was another brain fart for the Braves because that looked like it should have been easily caught and now we have runners at the corners and no outs. Will steals second on a pretty fantastic jump and high throw to put runners at second and third with no outs and a 3-1 count on Chase. Chase drives in two more on a single which may have been a double had the ball not been cut off. Then again we may have only got one run instead of two so I'm not going to be mad that Chase is only at first. Chase got thrown out stealing second, Grandal flies out and just like that we go from scoring to getting out, to getting out the Braves starter to hitting Kotsay to put two runners on and two outs. And I have clearly said "to" too many times.

The Braves load the bases with two out in the sixth and now I'm a little worried. I'd be more worried but I already know we win this game. The joys of having internet and friends that can't shut their mouths. Cam singles to start our half of the sixth and followed promptly by a Guzman walk. Cabrera sacrifices to move the runners to second and third and as Enberg is saying how fans appreciate sacrifice bunts, I was about to write how much I hate them. I HATE giving up outs. Will narrowly escapes being hit to load the bases. Maybe he should have taken a lesson or two from some of the players who don't bother to get out of the way. Hmm, that call at the plate looked super sketch to me. Cam looked to have been safe but from another angle, Cam was clearly out and that call is no longer super sketch.

I love when the camera men decide to focus on random animals on the field, today they focused on a pigeon and by today I obviously mean tomorrow. I feel like it is really weird to see pigeons on the field out here and that it should be seagulls instead. Logan doubles yet again, this time to start the bottom of the eighth. I'm glad our offense has showed up again. Cam walks on five pitches to put two men on and no outs and I'm wanting a double steal here just for funsies. We won't get the double steal that I want because they walked Alexi to load the bases. If he would be a normal sized batter that ball would have not doubt been a strike. Thank God for short players. With the bases loaded, Deno singles to drive in two, making this a 6-1 game. Thank you baby Jesus for giving us our offense back!! With runners on first and second, Grandal singles to drive in Alexi as Deno over slides into third but luckily he was able to hang on by a finger and now we are winning 7-1. Alonso also singles and drives in yet another run... with two outs. The Padres lead is now extended to 8-1 in the eighth. Brach decides to give up a home run because he felt bad that we were winning by so much, at least that's what I'm telling myself. It doesn't really matter since we are going to win this game 8-2. Do you think we like playing the spoiler??

Oh Where, Oh Where Did Our Offense Go??

Gross!! The Braves scored first but it could have been much worse. Instead of a one run lead it could have been a two run lead. It wasn't nearly as close to being a home run as I initially thought but Will most definitely should have been able to catch that and get out of the inning unharmed. The highlights of Kemp running into the wall are pretty epic, he must really like doing that. Though the one from today didn't look very good, given they showed him laying on the ground awhile after. Double gross!! Uggla just hit a solo home run almost into the paint can and now we are losing 2-0. Did we forget we are going for nine straight wins because we sure as hell don't like we are playing for a ninth straight win.

Oh Lord, it's already the sixth inning and the Padres still haven't scored. We finally get a player on which it seems like we hadn't done in forever AND he gets picked off. Alexi, why you go and get picked off?! Cabrera over throws Alonso for what should have been an easy out in the top half of the eighth and watching us lose is super depressing. I was finally getting used to us winning games. Dude if we are going to stop playing like we have been, can this hurry and end so I can go straighten my hair before we turn the AC off for the night?? As yet another Padres strikeout occurs I begin thinking to myself "Where did our offense go?!". Seriously, it was here one day, gone the next. Isn't it supposed to be or usually a gradual decline in performance and not a dramatic change??

The most exciting part of the game was the baseball drama in the top of the ninth about whether or not Alonso intentionally let the ball drop or dropped it to get a double play. They totally would have had if the umps hadn't overturned the play. I have to be honest and say that I wasn't paying close enough attention so I'm not entirely sure why they overturned it but I find it stupid that they did. Can't you see we are already losing, you're just preventing the inevitable by extending the inning. Cabrera luckily makes it on to start the bottom of the ninth and I'm keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't get picked off here. I'd appreciate it if this game would hurry and end in glorious fashion. The Padres snap their win streak in gloriously lame fashion, a shut out. UGH. I hate seeing the Braves win.

A Kelly Debut Brings In an Eighth Straight Win

So I'm more than two hours behind on tonight's game because I was being a good Auntie and terrible Padres fan this year and went to my nieces birthday party unlike last year. Last year I was a terrible Auntie but a fantastical Padres fan because I ditched the birthday party to see Trevor's number be retired. As someone who has been a fan as long as I have it would have been ungodly to miss the retirement ceremony. I do feel awful for missing the live debut of Casey Kelly but two hours behind is better than not see it at all.

To kick off the second inning of the game Yasmani jacks a two run shot to left, giving the Padres the 2-0 lead against ATL. Ugh is it really necessary to remind us yet again that we lost in the last game of the 2010 season and were kicked out of a playoff spot to the dirty Giants?! I believe not. Every Padres fan has that game burned into their memory and needs no reminder about it. In fact if someone has a drug that will single handedly remove specific memories, I bet there would be a ton of Padres fans will to take it to erase that game and game 163. Yes, I'm still bitter about that and will forever hate Matt Holliday for it. Ooh there was a very shady double play call BUT Cam was out at first... barely. It was unbelievably close at first glance and I wish we would stop hitting into those line drive double plays. I swear I never saw any double plays happen like that until this season and now I'm seeing it everywhere.

Yep, totally just saw another line drive DP but at least this one was against the Braves instead. I like it A LOT better that way. So I just got to the part of the game where they showed Casey Kelly's dad and brother. Umm can I PLEASE have his brother?? Please?? Okay, they really need to stop showing me his brother, I'm getting way too distracted and not concentrating on his pitches. Stop it, FSSD!! As if Casey wasn't killing it enough as it is, he got his first major league hit tonight. Good job, kid!! The Padres have the bases loaded for like what, the fourth game in a row?! I'm very impressed that we keep managing to do this. We didn't get any runs around with it but still, we are getting there.

Casey had an amazing night and went six very solid innings against one of the better teams in the league and is on his way to collecting a W. Once again, good job, kid!! Chase steals second in the eighth with two outs and Yasmani gets a base hit and scores Chase to make it 3-0. Unfortunately, Grandal got caught in a run down but you know what, I don't care because we extended the lead. The Padres would win this one 3-0 to give us the longest winning streak of the season, 8 whole games!! Let's keep this going boys, this is very exciting!!

Seven In a Row AND a Sweep?! Me Likey

The Padres start the game off with a Yasmani RBI single as they look to extend their win streak to seven. Seven straight wins would be a season high, I believe. Alonso follows in Yasmani's shoes and drives in Quentin to make it a 2-0 Padres lead in the first. The D-Backs walk Kotsay to load the bases with two out in the first inning. I really hope we can do some major damage here but I don't have much trust in us when the bases are loaded, despite how well they have been playing lately. As expected, we didn't do anything with that opportunity. Ugh Volquez gives up a run in the bottom half of the first and one batter later gives up the tying run. Cue complaints...

While everyone is tweeting about the second earthquake of the day, the only one of which I felt today, the Padres took the lead back again with two outs. What's with us doing shit with two outs lately?! Fourth inning and we scored out fourth run of the game, again with two outs. And again we load the bases. Not even going to lie, but I'm good if this game stays 4-2 because I really want to take a nap right now and I can't properly write a post if I've fallen asleep and missed runs being scored. Ehh, fuck it, I don't write proper posts anyway.

As people are making me laugh hysterically about how immature some adults are, the Padres scored in the seventh to make it 5-2 Padres. I thought the D-Backs were supposed to be a decent team. Aww man, the D-backs pull themselves back into the game on a two run homer run in the eighth inning to make it 5-4 Padres. I really miss when we could leave the game up to the bullpen and not worry about giving up runs of any kind. Can we go back to that, new owners?? Please?? Luke made a fantastical play to record the second out of the ninth which just shows why pitchers need to end in a defensive position after the delivery. The Padres hold on to win 5-4 for the sweep and a season high seven game win streak.

We Got This

While I was watching Batman/getting my nap on, the Padres started the game off with a Chase solo home run. I'm not sure if I should be more disappointed that I fell asleep watching Batman or that I'm having to watch this home run being hit over a half hour after the fact. Well the game over a half hour after it started. The only good thing I can come up with for starting the game last is I can fast forward through commercials and if the opportunity presents itself, Leila's voice. In the second inning Upton hit a two run inside the park home run. WHAT THE FUCK?! That was interesting in the "how the fuck do you not even attempt the throw to the plate knowing that there wasn't anyone but Upton running by that point" kind of thing. Even if it was a shitty throw or late it's not like you would have cost a runner to move up. So much for our early lead as the D-Backs now lead 2-1.

In the third inning, Cabrera finally got caught stealing which is very disappointing because that is about the only thing I liked about him. Quentin ties the game in the fourth with a solo home run of his own. I like that the only runs being scored are off of home runs, even if they aren't the conventional ones from the not so bad, bad guys. Fifth inning, Alonso with a solo shot and now it's a 3-2 Padres lead. Me Gusta!! I'm kinda over solo shots but I'll take them. The D-Backs walk Yasmani with the bases loaded to make it a 4-2 game in the sixth. Two more runs score on an Alonso single. I still don't like him but I'm learning to tolerate him more and more.

Will starts the eighth with a stand up triple. Triples are fabulous but I like it better when they have to slide. What can I say, I love it when they get dirty. Chase drives Will in on a sac fly to make it 7-2 Padres and I'm still not caught up with the live broadcast. The Padres load the bases once again with one out this time around. Let's go ahead and blow this even further open than it already is, okay?? This D-Backs pitcher doesn't know how to hit the strike zone as he walks Cam to make it an 8-2. Keep walking us, please and thank you. Alexi drives in another run making it 9-2 on a sac fly and we now have runners at the corners with two outs and Clayton up. Clayton can hit but not in this case, lame sauce. Clayton gives up a solo home run to make it a 9-3 game in the bottom of the eighth. It's okay, Clayton, we are still kicking their asses. The Padres go down in order in the top half of the ninth but who really gives a fuck because the D-Backs just did the same thing. The Padres win 9-3 and take the first two games of the series to extend their win streak to six.

The Padres Win All While Boring Me To Death

So I haven't watched baseball in like two days so I decided to OD on it today. I started to watch the final game of the Pirates series before I decided I needed to go out to the pool, then I turned on the Reds game as per usual and now I've got the rest of the Reds game on my laptop and the Padres game on  TV. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Padres game doesn't go the route of the Reds game. By the third inning the Padres take a 3-0 lead. Two of the runs came off an RBI single by Stults in the second, the third run was a Deno home run  in the third. I like the way this game is starting. Oh I forgot, Chase took a ball off the wrist like Marquis did the other night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he won't end up in a cast.

Stults drives in another run in the fourth inning to make it 4-0 Padres. I kinda like this whole the score matching the inning thing we have going on here. Of course after I wrote that we decided we didn't need to make the score match the inning anymore and didn't score again until the seventh inning. Why are you trying to make me look stupid, Padres?! Nothing else happened the rest of the game and I swear this has been the most boring game ever today. I'm amazed that I haven't fallen asleep despite the 5-0 Padres win.

Loaded Bases, Alexi Hops, McCutchen Beast Mode and an Extra Innings Walk Off

The Padres score first once again this series off a Quentin two run double. I'm totally okay with this extension of Quentin now. Marquis took a line drive off his wrist and he may or may not be dead. He's still in pitching but I don't believe that he's not dead. He's clearly zombie pitching. Team fun size got taken out and a throwing error to give the Pirates a run. Boooo.

In the third inning the Padres load the bases with one out and like my gut was telling me, Alonso hit into a double play to end the inning. I had just commented not too long before that about where these bats had been all season. Clearly, Alonso didn't care and brought back the old bats. Quentin and Alexi saved a run with an AMAZING play to get the runner out at home. Not even going to lie, I was a little worried this game was about to be tied but that throw home was PERFECT and Grandal didn't puss out blocking the plate. Well he didn't even need to really, the ball got there in plenty of time that the runner slid into the glove. BEAUTIFUL.

The Padres load the bases once again, this time in the fifth with two outs and Alexi up. Alexi unfortunately ended the inning but I can't be too mad at him after that throw home earlier. The Pirates tie the game on a solo home run and make me super sad. I wanted this game to hurry and end, I don't want it to go into extras like I feel it will. Pretty sure I have some Molecular Bio shit to deal with before tomorrow. Well, the Pirates scored again to make it 3-2. At least it won't go into extras... I hope. Once again the Padres load the bases, this time with no outs. Sooooo we are going to do something with this one right?? Venable ties the game because the Pirates are bobbling left and right in this half inning. We still have the bases loaded and no outs. Lets do work, son!! Chase strikes out for the first out of the inning but it's okay because Quentin is up now. Well it's not okay Quentin is up and just hit into a double play. We seriously do not deserve to win this game. We have technically had the bases loaded four times and have only scored once. Seriously, Padres, how do you manage to not utilize those opportunities?!

If we would have had speed on the bases we could have possible taken the lead back to start the seventh inning with an Alexi double that possibly could have been a triple had Alonso not been on base to begin with. Once again the Padres load the bases, with one out, and now Kotsay is up. PLEASE UTILIZE IT THIS TIME!! Hey, we did something but not without some baseball drama. Deno hit it deep enough for a run to score but like I said, there was some baseball drama. The Pirates were trying to tell us that Alonso left the bag before the ball was caught but that drama started after Alexi was called safe on a very questionable call. Thankfully things went the Padres way because we are now winning 4-3 in the seventh.

Quentin drives in the fifth Padres run of the game and I still don't believe this game won't end before midnight. Alexi's got some mad hops and took away a base hit that I was 100% sure was going to be like a mile over his head. *slow clap* Good job, Alexi, good job. The Pirates tie the game on a two run jack to center and now it seriously will be midnight before I get around to doing what I need to do. The Padres had the chance to walk it off in the ninth but no, McCutchen is fucking beast and into extras we will go. We put in lizard man to pitch the tenth and I can only hope this game will end soon.  And into extras we will win!! Chase hits a two run walk off jack and now I can do what I need to do because ya know, my priorities are awesomely fucked. Thank you for ending this in amazing fashion, Chase. Okay, love you, buh bye.

Suck It, Giants

Two batters into the game and I'm already questioning this strike zone. If Vogelsong doesn't last long in this game we know why, Cabrera. The first Padres batter of the day made Vogelsong throw thirteen pitches. Lets wear him out!! Venable didn't wear him out but got a hit and a stolen base so I can't complain too much. As Chase strikes out for the second out of the inning you can hear way too many Giants fans at the game. I thought I told them last night to go home. Apparently, their listening skills aren't that great either. Quentin singles in Will to give us the early lead. Now, if only we can keep a lead this time. Clearly, Cabrera's thirteen pitch at bat has gotten to Vogelsong because now Alonso got a hit. It's either that first at bat or the fact that I wasn't watching Alonso that resulted in that hit. Vogelsong walked Alexi and now we have the bases loaded for Cam. I'm not too sure how I feel about this. We do have two outs and Cam doesn't have the greatest batting average but I do love Cam. Fingers crossed we do work with this bases loaded situation. YES!! Cam drives in two to give us the 3-0 lead. I like it!! With Alexi and Cam on first and second we do one of my favorite things, double steal. Those are the best guys to have on base for that. I'm thoroughly surprised we put that play on. After 35 pitches Vogelsong finally gets out of the inning. Hopefully we can force him to have more innings like this one.

Posey starts off the second with a double because Venable couldn't make an everyday catch. I do love how he looked at the glove like "Dude, you were supposed to catch that. What the fuck?!". During Pence's AB all hell breaks loose with balls in the dirt and balls getting away to move Posey into scoring position. Pence gets the sac fly and the throw home was too high otherwise we should have been able to get Posey out. The Padres lead 3-1 now. Lets not keep letting them score runs. Cam just sucked it up and now the Giants have a runner on first with one out and Belt up. What the hell is going on in that outfield?! Luckily we held the damage to only one run. It should have ended before a run scored but I guess I can't complain about one unearned run coming around to score.  During the Padres half of the second, they kept showing this stupid Giants fan with a birthday tiara on. She looked miserable. You can't wear that to a game and look miserable, you know you will be on tv. Besides, you're in San Diego and your team is in first place. Try smiling you stupid whore. Vogelsong hits Quentin to load the bases with two outs for the Padres and Alonso up to bat. I can only hope we do work again because I'm not comfortable with a two run lead. Yeah, we didn't do work.

We have made some fantastical defensive plays in the top of the third. One amazeballs diving grab by Chase and an equally amazeballs pirouetting play by Alexi. I love it when my boys make fancy plays like this. In the fourth, Pence just missed a home run by a few feet and the most amazing part of it was that Quentin was just standing there waiting for it. It was like, "yeah, fuck you. I got this". Oh jeez, Clayton drilled Belt and the umps gave a warning. Really bro?! Vogelsong throws 96 pitches before he is taken out of the game in the fourth. Clearly, Bochy doesn't care that we weren't done playing with him. Like I said to start this post, the strike zone is questionable and Chase just got thrown out because of it. Fucking fabulous. On the bright side, Logan comes in to play third now.

Alexi starts the fifth with a triple. Me gusta mucho!! Cam lines a single to left and Alexi comes around to score. Now I don't have to worry about a two run lead. Baker should have been out but the Giants fucked up so instead of getting out he sits on second and Cam on third. Blow this game open, boys!! Clayton struck out for the first out of the inning but I can't be mad when it's a pitcher recording an out, though Clayton can crush it. Cabrera drives in two more on ab RBI double to make it 6-1. It's looking like Chase's ejection was the best thing to happen to the team. Home run for Will in the eighth to make it a 7-1 game and the worlds longest... at least it feels like the worlds longest but that's because I've been watching baseball continuously since 10 am. The Giants may have taken two of three this series but we win today 7-1 and I'm not mad at all. Now I can finally get around to sliding around on/washing my car in this boob sweat weather.

The Padres Beat Zito but the Giants Beat the Padres

I'm starting this one off by saying, I'm very, VERY, sad that I'm not at the game to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Heroes in a half-shell, TURTLE POWER!! Oh yeah, and I love the way Maybin is wearing his uni tonight. There's nothing better than short pants, high socks, NOTHING. Okay, well there are things better than that but at this particular moment in time, there's not. The Padres are facing Zito and from how this game is starting, we should be able to get to him. Assuming we can stop hitting into line drive double plays. First pitch into the second inning and the Giants hit a home run. Dude, did we not go over this yesterday?! I thought I told you to stop scoring runs!!

Bahahahahahaha poor Zito, while pitching the Quentin, one of his pitches just kind of jumped out of his hand about a gazillion feet up and made it about halfway to home. Embarrassing. After that embarrassing pitch he walked the first two batter of the inning. This is what you get for growing up in San Diego and playing for one of the two evils of the north. The Padres now have the bases loaded with no outs against him with Maybin up. Thanks to Cam's speed only one out was recorded and a Padres run comes around to score, tying the game at one. While trying to steal second, Cam got thrown out to record the second out of the inning and Cabrera struck out to end the inning. Did we not realize we had the PERFECT opportunity to fuck Zito up?! It's Zito, you should have scored more than one run that inning.

Panda tripled in the top of the third. Yes, you read that correctly, PANDA tripled. The ball was in Cam's glove but he couldn't squeeze it and that's how you get Panda on third. Cam looked as if he hit the wall pretty damn hard so I'm just thrilled he's not hurt. Zito just gave up a hit to Stults. I'm telling you, we can blow him up, so please blow him up already!! THANK YOU, Chase!! His three run shot is exactly what I was talking about. The Padres are now winning 4-1 after three.

Apparently that three run lead was enough to take Zito out because they pinch hit for him in the fifth. I'm very sad that they took him out already because we weren't done playing with him!! The Giants scored one more run on an out and now Panda is up. I don't like when Panda is up when there's not any runners on and I especially don't like him up when there are runners on. Get him out!! They didn't get him out, instead they opted to try and get the out at home instead of getting the for sure out. It's not a 4-3 Padres lead. I don't like the way this game is going now. Aaaaaaand now the game is tied. Fuck off, Giants. UGH the Giants just took the lead and I hate this game. Can it be over with now or can I at least get the Chargers game, not that I care about a preseason game but still.

Quentin single-handedly tied the game back up with a solo shot to start the sixth. Thank you!! Now can we score some more runs here, Padres?? Note that this time I specified who I wanted to score runs. Last time I didn't do that and we weren't the ones doing all the scoring. With two outs into the bottom of the sixth, the Giants drill Cam in the ass. #SurpriseButtSex. The Giants take back the lead with a sac fly, leaving a runner on first with one out now. STOP IT!! They didn't stop it... 7-5 Giants. UGH, the Padres looked as if maybe we could get something started again and then they hit into a 3-6-3 double play to end the eighth. Get your shit together so I can start singing "Go ninja, go ninja, go!!". Shit balls, the Giants keep scoring and now it's 8-5 in the ninth. I'm so over this. Can we go back to knowing how to win games?? Alexi's single scores Alonso putting us down by two now, yay?? Deno does a pretty much carbon copy of Alexi after Alexi had a carbon copy of Alonso's "steal" of second... fielders indifference, I just didn't know how to word it... and now the Padres are only down by one and that's where we will stay, 8-7. At least Zito sucked it up and gave us a chance to win.

BĂ©isbol De Grandes Ligas Presenta Los San Diego Padres y Los San Francisco Gigantes

It's been kind of a "lets speak Spanish" day at my house today, hence the title. Sorry bout it. I lied, I'm not. You can blame the Spanish on my brain. It decided it wanted to listen to Shakira but only non English songs earlier. So I've been singing, tweeting and speaking Spanish throughout the day. I'm even debating watching the game in Spanish tonight because now I need to know if they get just as excited as the Spanish soccer announcers do.

Two batters into the game and I have determined a few things, 1) the Spanish announcers speak too fast, 2) the only thing I'm understanding are the players names and a few words here and there, 3) They got too excited for the Giants home run but not the same level of excitement as their soccer announcing counterparts.  If I can handle this three second delay going on I may try and keep the Spanish station on just to see the level of excitement they have when the Padres... err IF the Padres do something amazing. Okay, so that catch Venable made just made the announcers go a little apeshit. I think I like this even though I can't understand most of it at least I don't have to see those stupid Nissan commercials, hear Mark Grant or listen to Enberg get excited about something the Giants did. Although if something heated happens, I'm going to need to change stations ASAP.

Eww, gross, the Giants scored on an RBI triple but the announcers made me slightly less mad just because of how excited they got calling this game. Pretty sure I heard abuelo pelota during that triple. Obviously pelota was the only correct thing I heard. The Giants add on another run to make it 3-0 with one out and Panda up. ¡No me gusta cĂłmo se ve! Panda drives in yet another run on an RBI single and now Posey is up. (Enter replay of Posey breaking his leg here.) The Giants now have runners on first and second with one out and already the Padres had to have their little powwow on the mound. This is really encouraging.  ¡PUTO! The Giants scored yet again to make it 5-0 and this umpire they are zooming in on, on Fox Deportes looks like he is about to murder me through the TV. I think that's my cue to change stations... The Giants scored AGAIN on what I can only assume was a wild pitch because I didn't change the station yet. So now it's 6-0 Giants in the third, fabuloso. Pitching change and we haven't even recorded two outs yet = no mas Fox Deportes. Enter Lizard Man, Mikolas and enter another Giants run, 7-0. And another run makes eight runs charged to Ohlendorf. Okay, Giants, stop scoring runs!! I'm tired of typing, "and the Giants score again."... 9-0 Giants. So. Over. It. Hey, we finally got out of the inning. Thank you, baby Jesus.

Not going to lie, this game was a lot more entertaining when I had it on the Spanish station. Alonso breaks up Cains no hitter in the fifth inning, thank you. I don't think I would have been able to handle it if Cain got a no hitter. Sweet deal, Cabrera drove in Alonso and now we won't be shutout either!! The Giraffe drives in a run and now it's a 10-1 game. The Giants have the bases loaded with one out now. Have I mentioned that I'm over it?? The Padres lost 10-1 and if anyone is really surprised by this, you are a fucking moron.

Fucking, Chipper Jones

Fucking, Chipper Jones. Of course the one guy on the Braves that I absolutely can't stand is the guy who gives the Braves the early lead with a two run home run. Lets just say that he made me glad I have picture in picture. I might just need to switch it over and stare at Homer Bailey instead. Then again, if I do that, I'm going to need to watch Batman afterwards.

Holy fuck balls, Batman, the Padres just got screwed. Chipper made a diving stop, throws to second and magically gets Alonso out on a DROPPED ball. Fucking, Chipper Jones. I guess Marquis got a double in the third inning but FSSD went a little apeshit as the ball was not being caught so I didn't get to see it. Booooooo, Heyward hit himself a solo home run to extend the Braves lead to 3 and all I have to say to that is, Fucking, Chipper Jones. Yes, I know he had nothing to do with that home run but I have decided that I am blaming everything on him tonight since it is his bobblehead night AND he just hit another home run. FUCKING, CHIPPER JONES. "It's only a four run lead" uhh yeah a four run lead off of home runs. I don't care if it's "only four runs", we are the Padres and have played like the Padres we had started to forget about since we entered Atlanta. Clearly, us winning the first game against the Braves was a fluke.

The Braves load the bases in the fifth and we put Boxberger in. I don't like this kid and I don't want to see him in a bases loaded situation. Aaaaaand the Braves now lead by six. Sweet deal, bro. On the flip side of the picture in picture, the Mets had a perfect game going until they hit Ludwick. Lets just say, baseball isn't making me happy or less stressed right now. Oh yeah, we officially have new owners. Yippee, she said in a sarcastic tone and an "it's a home run-esque" finger twirl. It's not that I'm not happy that we have new owners. It's more that I'm not going to really care until I see changes and improvements being made. Oh and the Padres lose 6-0 and on to home we will go.

I'm Tired of Us Playing the Braves...

Logan gets the game started in the third with a two out solo home run. I'm really loving these home runs but can we make them multiple run homers instead?? Clearly I needed to be more specific because the Braves hit a three run home run to take the lead in the bottom half of the third. The Padres load the bases in the fourth only to have Nick be up. There's still two outs but with the way Nick has been playing, he will hit into a double play before he gets any RBI. Yep, Nick got out. Told you, no double play but still an out. Now it's up for Volquez to not let the RISP go to waste, but it's us and he did. The Brave scored another run in the bottom of the fourth off a deflected ball from Volquez's glove. If he hadn't tried to catch it, I'm pretty sure they could have doubled up the runners and gotten out of the inning unharmed. More scoring by the Braves to make it a 6-1 game and to think I was excited when we started the game off with a home run. The Padres lost 6-1 and I'm tired of us playing the Braves.

Fucking Tomahawk Chopping Braves

Atlanta scores first today which doesn't help my shitty mood. I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately, the shitty mood part, which means I probably have. I'm not apologizing for it but I'd appreciate it if the Padres would not let the Braves score so that maybe my mood will get better. The Padres are apparently not in the listening to me business because Clayton just gave up a home run. Stop letting the Braves score!! I need this so I don't fall into a state of depression, dammit. Motherfucker, start listening to me Padres!! You just let Chipper drive in another run. I don't like this 3-0 lead the Braves have. And I really don't like this 6-0 lead the Braves have after Boxberger just gave up a three run home run, two of those runs get charged to Clayton. Not okay. What's even more not okay is the fact that we just got shutout. The Padres lose 6-0 to the fucking tomahawk chopping Braves.

Welcome to Atlanta

After taking the series in Pittsburgh the Padres make their way to the ATL to take on the Braves for four. For the record, I hate Chipper Jones and am already sick and tired of them showing him and talking about him... the game hasn't even officially started yet.

The Padres take an early 1-0 lead in the second on a sac fly to left. Even though I feel like the Braves have been nonexistent this season, it's great that we have the lead. As I was busy catching skittles in my cleavage, Cam made a diving catch that was a gazillion times more impressive than me catching skittles with my boobs. Though I bet some people would beg to differ. In the fourth, the Padres load the bases with two outs for Nick, awesome. I still do not understand why we brought him back up but I have zero faith in him doing anything with the bases loaded. As expected Nick did absolutely nothing with that at bat.

Chase got greedy in the fifth and should have stuck with an RBI single but a run is a run, I'm just not happy with an unnecessary out. Alonso singles in a run in the sixth inning to make it a 3-0 game that barely has my interest. I swear these games are more and more boring the better the team gets. Umm, isn't it supposed to be more and more exciting the better we get?? Chase continues his hot hitting by hitting a solo shot in the seventh inning. With the amount of home runs we have been hitting it's about time to start joking we are on steroids, right?? I mean come on, it is the Padres and we all know the Padres aren't a home run hitting team.

After seven and two thirds the Braves finally get to Stults to make it 4-1 with a runner on third and two outs. I specifically told them to not allow the Braves to score, they need to work on their listening skills. The Padres win the game 4-1... Peace up, A-Town down or some other lame Atlanta reference

My Little Baseball Heart Hurts

The Padres start today's game just like they started yesterday's, with a solo shot. This time though, it wasn't Alexi but Chase and he is making PNC Park his bitch. This home run marks the third in a game and an inning. I told you PNC Park is his bitch. I bet the Pirates are wishing they would have made a trade happen now. Cabrera leads off the third with a triple and comes around to score on a Chase ground out to make it 2-0 Padres... so much for getting a home run in four consecutive AB's.

Somehow the Padres scored a third run but I was over the game by then and was debating going back to bed. Next thing I know, I'm seeing people on twitter tweeting not to tweet about the mythical being that is going on in the game, which I had no idea was happening. After that Will hit a solo home run for himself and the Padres are now winning 4-0 in the sixth inning all while Burnett is nearing 100 pitches. The Padres load the bases for Chase. Everyone was hoping he'd hit a grand slam but you know what, I'll take Burnett walking in a run any day if it means Quentin gets to come up with the bases loaded.

In the top of the 7th the MLB twitter account spoke of the unspoken. I immediately tweeted them to tell them they need to "shoosh it. signed, Padres fans everywhere".  They didn't listen as they tweeted a link to watch the game live, shortly after I tweeted them. MOTHER FUCKER!! I blame you, MLB twitter account. No one other than Padres fans give two shit whether or not the Padres get the no-no therefor there is no need for you to keep tweeting about it. My little baseball heart can't take anymore of these no hitters late in the game. I'm still trying to figure out how Alexi didn't get an error on the play. It looked pretty damn routine to me. Do the baseball gods just hate us THAT much that we can't ever catch a break?? I will be more than happy to take a questionable no-no than a one hitter any day. Marquis gets a two hit shutout to win 5-0 and extend the win streak to six in a row but really, no one cares as much about the win or the win streak since the no-no is still a fucking myth.

I Hope You Have Your Brooms Ready Because It's a Clean Sweep

The Padres are going for the sweep and I'm in a piss ass mood once again. Pretty sure I have said one whole word today and that was "Okay" and it was in the most "I don't give a fuck" tone ever. Also pretty sure I have done my best to ignore twitter and my phone all day in order to make my mood not be as shitty. It's not working and neither did spending time in the pool, the fact that Clayton is pitching or that the Padres took the early lead in the second off a Venable RBI double to score Chase from third. Will stole third and positioned themselves to be able to easily score on an out. Logan chased ball four and now it's up to Baker to score Will and extend the one run lead... he didn't, like expected.

Once again the fucking Padres hit into one of those poorly executed base running double plays. Stop fucking rounding second before the ball is even caught. You are PROFESSIONALS you should know better. The Cubs load the bases with two outs in the sixth and shouldn't have. They should have scored and tied the game but they aren't the shittiest team in all of the land for nothing. The Padres have runners at the corners with no outs in the seventh with Kotsay up to bat. This is either going to be great or shit. Yeah, that was complete shit. Another stupid double play when Kotsay hit it straight to Rizzo and Alonso got caught in a rundown. The only good news is that Chase is now on third but it's the Padres so we will probably strand him. Finally the Cubs are the ones to hit into a line drive double play. The Padres score another run in the bottom of the eighth to make it 2-0 and now to send Clayton in to get the complete game shut out. Sweet deal, bro, Clayton gets the complete game shut out as the Padres win 2-0 to sweep the Cubs.

Dear Cubs, Payback's a Bitch. Love, The Cub Busters

The Padres are officially sold. Well, when it gets approved they're officially sold to the O'Malley's. My Grey's Anatomy loving ass thinks George O'Malley and not the O'Malley's that have ties to the Dodgers. That might just be better for my sanity.

Logan loads the bases on a bunt single in the third inning with no outs for the first real threat of the game. I love when bunts go for base hits. It's kind of miracle when that goes our way. What's even more of a miracle, when the Padres score when the bases are loaded and no outs. The Padres score two on a Chase single to make it 2-0. Logan moves to third and Chase remains at first with no outs and Quentin up. I see this going one of two ways, a double play or something epic... or you know, they hit Quentin because that is the guy the balls are drawn to. Welp, my thoughts didn't happen but Quentin did get walked to load the bases again. Guzman swung at the first pitch, which I kind of hate, and records our first out of the inning. I'm really hoping we get more than two runs off of two bases loaded appearances. Cam strikes out swinging and it's looking like those two runs are all we are going to get. Clearly Sunday's game used up all the home runs or maybe even runs in general since they won 2-0 yesterday and are doing the same right now. I feel like this might just be the only scoring done all game. I hate games like that. Shockingly, Everth singles in two more runs to make it 4-0 Padres. So maybe we didn't use all the runs up on Sunday but I still think this is going to be the only inning we score in. It just feels like one of those games.

Well Quentin did do something epic, just not when I originally called it. He gives the Padres a 7-0 lead on a three run homer in the fourth. Apparently sometime during the top of the fifth the Cubs scored a run but I think I was a little bit busy doing something else to notice. Oops. God dammit, the Cubs scored again and again I didn't see it. Whatevs, the Padres are still winning, 7-2. Gross, Boxberger gives up a two run pinch hit double to make it 7-4 Padres. I don't think I like this Boxberger kid. Also, I'm annoyed that this game is still going on and the women's event finals have already begun. I was really hoping the game would be over before so I wouldn't have to fast forward everything. Have I mentioned exactly how much I love that Luke gets into fielding position after the delivery?! It is AMAZING to watch. I absolutely adore when pitchers do that and get so frustrated when they don't. Jake Peavy was my favorite to watch because of that. Cam is a beast and went into Superman mode to make that nice diving catch that got Street PUMPED. You would have thought Cam's catch was the final out to make the Padres World Series champs with how Street reacted. Padres win 7-4 and the Cubbies can suck it.

Yesterday, Today and Tonight...

The lack of a post yesterday was because I was at the game and spent the majority of my day downtown and when I got home I was not only physically but mentally exhausted. The Padres kicked the Mets ass with the long ball which was a huge shocker to me. We don't do shit like that. Headley, Alonso and Quentin all crushed it and made me very excited. Well, as excited as you can be for being sun drained. Not that I'm complaining, I love being in the sun and watching baseball, my brain on the other hand doesn't. The way I put it is I get sun drunk. Other people lose it from drinking, I don't drink often so I never actually get drunk and do stupid shit or say stupid shit. I just spend too much time in the sun and get the same effect. Therefore, sun drunk.

I will not be making a post tonight either because I will be going to watch my brother and my friend's softball teams play each other in the playoffs and then, who ever wins, the championship game. From what my friend says, my brother's kind of a big deal so if I was a betting girl, I'd put my money on WTFM with my pick the stick, or whatever, J Rod. Hahaha, it feels so weird calling him that. I'm extremely excited to go to the game tonight because it has been years since I've watched my brother play and it will be fun to see him and my friend compete against each other. Lets just say I'm going to be very confused with my cheering, think the Reds Padres series'. I am not thrilled however to be going by myself especially since it's over a half an hour drive for me to get to the complex and I have never been there. Lets just say my friends are all twat waffles for not going with me or meeting me there. It doesn't count that Charisma and my brother will be there. I will still be alone in the stands, my favorite. Like the boy agreed, I'm too cute and tiny to be by myself. Unfortunately he can't come with me, which is fine because I actually want to watch the game.

Hopefully the Padres don't pull a repeat of the early series against the Cubs tonight because no one needs that to happen again. I'm also bummed that we didn't play the Cubs yesterday because I've been waiting all season to wear my Cub Buster shirt to a game and I don't think I'm going to get to do that.

Volquez Makes Me Pissy

Dear Jesus, Volquez managed to load the bases already in the second inning. What the deuce?! Of course the shithead walked in a run. Motherfucking twat waffle, stop walking in runs!! The Mets now lead 2-0 with 2 outs still. Lets see would you rather Latos who went 7 1/3 shutout innings and scored two of his teams 3 runs himself on a two run shot OR would you rather have Volquez who loaded the bases in the second inning and walked in 2 runs on 2 outs before he gave up a double to make it 4-0?? Hmmm, the Padres front office is super smart. Though, I do give them major credit for pulling Grandal. Before the final out of the inning is recorded Black pulls Volquez. I'm super amazed that he didn't leave him in and that he looked like he wanted to actually give us a chance to come back and win this game. At this point the game is up to Boxberger and the rest of the team to not shit the bed. Boxberger records the third out like it was nothing... this is what I except from veteran pitchers like Volquez and not from newbies.

Team fun size singles in the first Padres run in the third. Watch out buttfucks, we are coming for you!! The Padres pitching staff once again loads the bases for the Mets. I can't be too upset about it this time because this is Burns major league debut and I don't know what to expect out of him. Luckily, the kid got out of the jam because Cam is awesome and does backwards somersaults after he makes catches. I love that I gave credit to Cam for his somersault and about two seconds later Mr. Padre explained why it was a bad fundamental play. To that I responded in my head and on twitter, his approach was more like when you do that on the beam and not the floor. Ugh, the Mets score another run to make it 5-1 in the seventh. The Mets are scoring more runs and I'm on the verge of falling asleep. I think it's safe to say the Padres aren't winning this one and that I can go ahead and post this, turn the game off and go to bed. Oh hey, before I could turn the game off the Mets load the bases AGAIN. Yep, I should turn this off and go to bed before this gets really ugly.

So instead of going to bed super early I decided to try and figure out just how many Padres give aways I can fit into one outfit for tomorrows game. So far I've come up with seven things: Luebke jersey, Friar shirt, hat, sunglasses, pet bandanna as a sweatband, beach towel so I don't burn my ass on the seats and rally pompoms. I suppose I can bring rally towels too so that would make nine things but I'm not going to want to have five hundred things hanging off of me at all times. While I'm debating what shit to take to the game tomorrow, Chase hits a home run to make it a 6-2 game. Please, please, please score some runs tomorrow. Alonso also did work and doubled while I was figuring out how annoying I want to be tomorrow. Maybin walks and the Mets bring in their closer. Lets win this... or you know hit into a double play to end the game. Way to kill the rally, Baker. Fingers crossed Eddy is catching tomorrow.

Baseball Don'ts

The shit you should never do when it comes to baseball games...

  1. Do not under any circumstance do the wave. If you do, I will yell at you for being a shithead as well as yell at you to "stop fucking doing the wave"... in those exact words.
  2. Ladies, do not wear skirts/dresses to games. I don't care if they are sundresses or maxi dresses, they do not belong at the stadium and you look like a white trash fuck twat for wearing them.
  3. Also ladies, do not wear heels to games. Not only does it make you look like a whore bag but it confirms the fact that you are indeed a twat waffle.
  4.  Do not bring your brand new baby(ies) to the game if you're sitting in the front row. Baseballs and soft spots don't mix. At least if you're in the second row or further there's probably some douche lord in front of you that will try to catch the ball and end up deflecting it, keeping your baby safe.
  5. Do not go to a game if you have no fucking idea what is going on. Real fans don't want to listen to your idiotic questions the entire time and we will make fun of you. If you want to learn the game, watch it at home so you don't annoy the shit out of everyone else.
  6. Do not bring someone who doesn't know baseball. Again, real fans don't want to be bothered with anything other than the game and having to hear you explain to your girlfriend or whoever "after the top half of the seventh there's the bottom of the seventh. Then the top of the eighth followed by the bottom of the eighth..." is one of the most annoying things ever. Like in 5, explain baseball to them at home before you take them to a game.
  7. It is NEVER acceptable to show up to a game late... especially if it's under your control or if you are meeting someone at the stadium who already has your ticket/someone is meeting you and you have their ticket.
  8. It is NEVER acceptable to leave a game early... unless you know, you're actually dying or are about to pop out a kid but if that's the case you shouldn't be going to the game to begin with.
  9. Do not wear gear for teams who are not playing in that series. Unless maybe it's a jersey of a player that is currently on your team. If not, it makes you look like a fucktard, especially when it's not even a baseball teams gear that you are wearing. I don't care if it's a Chargers jersey, you still look like a fucktard.
  10. Do not get the best seats you possibly can if all you are going to do is make out with your boyfriend/girlfriend. There are plenty of actual fans that would kill to have those seats and would actually watch the game.
  11. Ladies, please do not only "like" the sport because your boyfriend or husband or even crush likes the sport. You will annoy the shit out of every female fan that actually likes the sport not because of a boyfriend/husband/crush. Plus, you give the rest of us a bad name.

Ladies, if you do 2 and 3 you have no right to get offended or give the bitch face when you hear real female fans making comments about your twat waffleness. Baseball is to be watched in comfort not whoreness. That also goes for the Victoria's Secret cleat chaser line... You know exactly which items I'm talking about too.

Wakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bakey

Who in God's green earth decided it was okay to start a Padres game at 9:30 in the morning?! My ass is still sleeping at that time and only gets up before that if I absolutely have to or if the boy wakes me up. Needless to say I started this game about 2.5 hours late. I'm avoiding twitter for spoilers because I have enough of that happening with the Olympics. Spoiler Alert: Gabby wins gold for the women's all around. If I had to find out before it airs, so do you.

God, Cueto's delivery weirds me out, it's almost pirouette-esque. In the second inning, the clown man hit a two run home run to give the Reds the lead. Can you stop it?! I don't like seeing that against my Padres. Any other series and I would be more than happy for the clown man but not this one. Dammit!! Venable just missed the ball and another Reds run comes around to score while leaving runners on second and third with no outs. I'm so not okay with this. Ugh with the bases loaded and two outs, Rolen singles in two runs to give the Reds the 5-0 lead before Ohlendorf balks in a run, making it 6-0 Reds. STOP IT!! Ohlendorf loads the bases yet again in the second. Holy fuck, it's only the second still?! Why is Black being a shithead and letting him load the bases twice and give up six runs in one inning?!

Today is Eddy Rodriguez major league debut and he didn't disappoint. In his first plate appearance he puts the Padres on the board with a solo shot off of Cueto of all players. NICE!! The Padres score two more on a Headley single that ate the shit out of Cozart. We are still losing but at least we are slowly chipping away at the lead, 6-3 Reds. Cam hits a solo shot of his own in the fourth to make it a 6-4 game now. Even though we have lost the last two games here, I love us playing in Cinci. It's nice being able to actually watch offensive dominant games. Okay, Mark Grant just got cool points for wanting to be an Olympic Gymnast. I still don't like him but he definitely earned points with that.

The Reds score on an odd play in the bottom half of the fourth to make it 7-4 and it looks as if Black might actually get thrown out for once. Shockingly enough the umpire didn't throw out Black though it looked like he was about two seconds away from doing so. Cozart singles in yet another run and I'm getting very sad about this 8-4 game now. The Reds score once more, this time in the eighth, to make it a 9-4 before they bring in my other boob starer, Arredondo, to pitch the Padres half of the inning. This series was basically a more offensive driven version of the series out here with the Padres taking the first game and shitting the bed in the other three. At least this time, I wasn't so confused in my cheering.

The Blatant Boob Starers Win Again

For the first time this series, I have been able to watch the beginning of the game and sweet baby Jesus, we start it off with a two run home run. Can we play at GABP all the time?? Please?? Damn, my boy Cozart just cut our lead in half. I was so mad when Wells gave up that home run until I realized it was too Cozart and then I was just a little mad. I have issues. Booo/Yay Ludwick. He just hit a two run home run to make it 3-2 Reds. UGH, this is going to be another wait, shit, fuck, dammit post and we haven't even finished an inning!! Oh lordy. What the hell?! Arroyo just drilled Wells. It looked like it was in the head at first but apparently it was more around the shoulder. Either way, can you not hit my players?? I don't need anymore reason for them to be put on the DL, we are good enough at that ourselves that we don't need any help.

My boys tie up the game in the fourth which is not as exciting for me as it was when the game first started. Weird, I know. We now take the lead because clown man, Frazier, deflected the ball and whoever the Reds have playing second couldn't come up with it cleanly. To this, I laugh, ha ha ha ha. Bruce just tied the game and the Reds have a player on second with one out. Ludwick doubles in the leading run because Baker is a twat waffle and couldn't make the tag at home. I know that's not his fault that the ball didn't get there half a second faster but I don't like him and really wanted to use one of my new favorite names to call people.

Pretty sure the umpire just fucked us on that Alexi non stolen base call to end the Padres half of the sixth. Can we have umpires that aren't shitheads?? Or if they have to be shitheads can it be on the other team instead of ours?? Okay, scratch that. They just showed the angle from the outfield and Alexi was out but that doesn't mean that umpires aren't shitheads. The Reds score one more to make it 6-4 on a Ludwick single turned double play to end the inning, weird. This whole Broxton on the Reds thing is not ok with me. I NEVER thought I would ever like a team that he is on. In fact, it makes me like the Reds a little less. The Reds bring in Chapman and the giggles commence. I will never forget that BP. Okay, so I know I've said before somewhere that Champan's speed isn't as impressive now that we have Cashner who throws just as hard but I'm beginning to rethink this. Champan is much more entertaining than Cashner. Quentin doubles off Chapman with two outs and from what a Reds fan has told me, Champan loses his composure or whatever when he gets a runner on sooooo we might have a chance. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance and double unfortunately, the Reds twitter told me we lost before the final strike was even thrown. Padres lose 6-4 and I'm just ready to eat, shower and watch gymnastics now.
